The Suzuki GSX-R was first introduced in 1985 and was considered to be one of the first street-legal racers. At the time, the specs on this machine were pretty outrageous with over 100 horespower output, less than 180 kg dry mass, 55° leaning angle, lightweight alloy double-cradle perimeter frame, 18-inch wheels and streamlined design based on the factory Formula 1 and Endurance racers.

Dinner Ride TONIGHT!!!

Due to the crazy Texas forecast, the Wednesday Dinner Ride has been moved to tonight, Tuesday Feb. 8th!!! We will be riding to Landmark Grill in Lewisville!!! KSU at 6:00pm. All riders on all bikes with all skill levels are welcome to join! "The Act is a legislative exemption for youth-model motorcycles and ATVs from the lead provisions in the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA), known as the Lead Law. The CPSIA effectively banned the sale of small displacement recreational vehicles due to overly restrictive lead content standards.

The AMA needs you and everyone you know that is concerned with the future of youth riding to call your Representative and ask them to cosponsor the Kids Just Want to Ride Act."

On Jan. 25, Representative Denny Rehberg (MT) introduced H.R. 412, the Kids Just Want to Ride Act of 2011, which would exempt kids' off-highway vehicles (OHVs) from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008 that effectively bans their sale beginning May 1. The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) strongly supports this bipartisan effort and is urging everyone to contact their Representative to become a cosponsor today.

H.R. 412 is the most promising and viable legislative remedy available to permanently exclude kid-sized motorcycles and ATVs from the unintended consequences of the CPSIA.
The AMA thanks the countless concerned enthusiasts that have already contacted their Representatives to support this legislation. However, we are facing a fast-approaching May 1 stay of enforcement deadline and you must continue to contact your member of Congress to help the Kids Just Want to Ride Act of 2011 move toward passage.
You and everyone you know that is concerned with the future of youth riding needs to contact your Representative and ask them to cosponsor H.R. 412, the Kids Just Want to Ride Act of 2011.
