Ladies Night Jan. 19th Recap!!!

Check out this awesome spread!!!
Thanks to Kim Hassett for getting us the hook up from Target Deli!

How to pick up a bike demo, the WRONG way

We had a GREAT turn out!

How to pick up a bike demo, the RIGHT way! Get down low, sit into the bike, hold the handle bar straight, and start to lift up with your legs...

Keep it steady, the weight of the bike will start to level out...

Kick the kickstand down with your right foot and you are back up on the road ready to ride!
If the bike is on the other side be sure to put your kickstand down first!
Great job to Christie Desimone for picking up a 900 LB GOLD WING!!!

This is a great procedure to know in case you are unable to pick it up yourself and a nice passer by stops to help. Now, you can properly instruct them on how to do it safely!

Before you ride always do a visual walk around...
Check your tire pressure, turn signals, brake light, head light, tire tread, and...

Brake Pads!
It's very important to get a flash light and make sure your brake pads are good to go!

Cycle Center of Denton puts safety first and offers FREE safety checks on any machine!

Oil and Filter change demo!

1. Turn the bike on and let it get up to temp. This will make the oil easier to drain. Be sure to do this in a well ventilated area.

Kenny's Quick Tip:
Be sure to take your dip stick out FIRST and place it under the bike so you can see it...

2. Place an oil pan under the bike. Then, twist off the drain bolt... try not to drop it into the pan b/c it will be hard to fish out later.

3. Next, use an Oil Filter Wrench to remove the filter (this is a handy tool that will make your life much easier, you can get one for under 10 bucks here at Cycle Center)

4. Allow the oil to drain as you remove the filter

5. Install a new drain bolt washer (it's a 99 cent part that will save your life!)

6. Put the cleaned off drain bolt back in. Secure it to the proper specifications per your owner's manual.

7. Prep the new filter by applying clean oil to the rubber seal and the threads using your fingers.

8. Clean the filter area, wipe a finger of clean oil around that area and screw in the filter. Remember, you only need a 1/4 turn after "hand tight"

9. Remove the oil pan out from under the bike and carefully funnel the oil back into the original container. Then, bring it to US! We will properly dispose of your oil at no charge!

10. Lastly, look under the bike. Oh look!, there's your dip stick reminding you to add oil! Carefully funnel in the oil and install the dip stick.

Always be sure to check the oil level and that you installed the items properly per your owner's
manual!

We had some great giveaways and special savings on the whole store!
