everyone had a rockin' 2011!

It was a great year for Cycle Center of Denton as well!

It was out 1st FULL year in the new facility and it definitely feels like home.

2011 was the first year for our Ladies Nights, which were a BLAST!

Women riders are becoming more and more prominent (guys, you better watch out!) and Cycle Center of Denton vows to promote the women rider community!

If you are part of a ladies ride group, we would love for you to join one of our ladies nights!

The next one is coming up in February, so stay tuned!

In April, we celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Acme Street!

Thanks to all of you, it was a big success!

In May, we teamed up with the Chrome Angels hosting Burgers for Boobies where they raised a considerable amount for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation!

We also partnered up with Texas B.E.S.T. Rider to offer motorcycle classes every weekend in our conference room. Whether you are a first time rider or just need a refresher course,

Texas B.E.S.T is the group!

Even though it was a HOT, HOT, HOT summer, it didn't scare off the Twisted Riders!

They did an amazing job coordinating dinner rides, weekend rides, dirty rides, track days, and more! They just celebrated their 1 year anniversary and we have a feeling they will be celebrating many more! Go check them out and come meet them in person on Thursday Jan 12th for the first dinner ride of the year to Prontos.

2011 was a HUGE year for our Annual October Customer Appreciation Event!

Thanks to everyone who came out to Cycle Center of Denton and rode with the Twisted Riders yesterday! Take a look at some photos! There are plenty more posted on the Twisted Riders website.

The ride started at Cycle Center of Denton. We went up 35 to just North of Sanger and crossed over Lake Ray Roberts and made our way through Tigoa. We then rode through Whitewright and made it to Carpenter's Bluff and took a few minutes to read about the historical bridge...

Carpenter's Bluff (pop ca. 100) is located east of Denison on FM 120. The bridge can be found just north of the road as you enter the settlement.
This impressively high bridge spans the Red River and links Grayson County to Bryan county, Oklahoma. Built in 1910, it was designed to allow trains, wagons, pedestrians, and horses to cross for a toll. In the 1960's, the bridge was deeded to Grayson County, which renovated it for automobile use. After crossing the bridge we journeyed into Oklahoma and came back South on 75 to Denison where we stopped for a bite at the Cotton Patch.

It was a great turn out and a lot of fun! We look forward to the next ride on March 10th!

"The Act is a legislative exemption for youth-model motorcycles and ATVs from the lead provisions in the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA), known as the Lead Law. The CPSIA effectively banned the sale of small displacement recreational vehicles due to overly restrictive lead content standards.

The AMA needs you and everyone you know that is concerned with the future of youth riding to call your Representative and ask them to cosponsor the Kids Just Want to Ride Act."

On Jan. 25, Representative Denny Rehberg (MT) introduced H.R. 412, the Kids Just Want to Ride Act of 2011, which would exempt kids' off-highway vehicles (OHVs) from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008 that effectively bans their sale beginning May 1. The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) strongly supports this bipartisan effort and is urging everyone to contact their Representative to become a cosponsor today.

H.R. 412 is the most promising and viable legislative remedy available to permanently exclude kid-sized motorcycles and ATVs from the unintended consequences of the CPSIA.
The AMA thanks the countless concerned enthusiasts that have already contacted their Representatives to support this legislation. However, we are facing a fast-approaching May 1 stay of enforcement deadline and you must continue to contact your member of Congress to help the Kids Just Want to Ride Act of 2011 move toward passage.
You and everyone you know that is concerned with the future of youth riding needs to contact your Representative and ask them to cosponsor H.R. 412, the Kids Just Want to Ride Act of 2011.
